This leather is 106 years old. Well, it's hand-crafted from select Shell Cordovan Leather from the 106 year old Chicago Horween Leather Company. Genuine Shell Cordovan is the art of tanning at its finest. A process that takes 6 months, each shell is slowly steeped in gentle vegetable liquors by highly skilled artisans. Over time, the patina in Defy's genuine shell cordovan wallets will only improve, deepening with each polishing and showing to full advantage the especially rich character of the leather. After hand cutting and crafting each piece, we burnish and hand treat the edges for a more than unique finish.
